Outline of Origins of American Imperialism essay is due Monday. The outline should be a rough draft of your essay in outline form. A reminder, your essay is your interpretation of the forces and factors that led to American Imperialism in the late 19th century / early 20th century. As such, you should focus on the long term causes as well as the immediate cultural, economic, and political factors that propelled America down the imperial path. You should draw on evidence found in the two secondary articles (LaFeber & Linderman) as well as the primary source evidence found in the 1994 DBQ packet that was distributed yesterday, January 28th. You may also use Ch. 17, Section 4 ("Becoming a World Power" -- pp. 529 - 541) in Give Me Liberty!. The final draft will be due in February 16th!!!
